The program will teach children and their parents( these are farmworkers who harvest fruits and vegetables) the dangers of exposure to pesticide in the home (parents bringing the pesticides in on their clothes)and what precautions they should take. What do you think a good name for this program would be?
What is a good name for a program that teaches pesticide safety to children?
Pesky pesticide and the Clean Up crew.
Have a dude in a can be Pesky pesticide and explain that his job is to kill bugs and weeds that can harm our food, but that he himself can also be harmful to us, if we breath his vapors, or if he gets on our skin and/or in our mouths, etc.
The clean up crew can be Larry Laundry soap, Hildy handsoap, and Stan the scrub brush.
This could also all be translated to spanish if needed to be. We have a lot of migrant farm workers here where I live that speak spanish.
