What's the name of the little devices that detect if there is an electricity cable behind a wall?
These are supposed to prevent you from drilling into a cable and killing yourself. I'm trying to find them on eBay but don't know what they're called. I'm putting some shelves and stuff up at home and don't particularly want thousands of volts coursing through my body. I'm still young and handsome. Well, young anyway.

When I was a child (late 1980s, early 1990s) I had a series of books about famous historical characters (Jackie Robinson, Sacagewa, Hellen Keller, etc.) who had imaginary friends that helped them overcome obstacles as they grew up. It was a great series, but now I can't remember the name or any of the authors (I believe they were not all written by the same person). I remember the book covers being tall, mostly white hardjackets, with a simple color illustration on the front. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help me out with a title, author or publishing company, I would really appreciate it. Now that I'm an adult, I'd like to find this series for my children.

There were these three teenagers/kids who each had a special power: super speed, super strength, and telekinesis. I don't remeber the station it was on but i think it was the same era and channel as the power rangers. First band to pop in my head is AC/DC. They did equally well with Bon Scott as they did Brian Johnson but they need Angus.

I would kinda say Pantera, but thats only from my personal perspective. 'cause when i first heard them i wasnt that crazily keen on the lead singer, Phil Anselmo, but Dimebag's playing really stood out to me so i kept on listening to Pantera mainly for that, really. Phil's vocals WAY grew on me though (i love them now!!) but Dimebag has still always been my favourite member of Pantera and in my opinion, the most important member of Pantera. Though im willing to believe some may disagree, he's just the most important to me! :)

Will you look for a name with a certain meaning first, or just find a name you like and then look at the meaning?

I guess how important a name is, for me, would be pretty important. I mean, you dont want a name with the meaning of Dirt or something like that, you know? So I looked up some names and this is some things that I found:

I'm not pregnant yet, but still like thinking about baby names, and I've always loved girls names that start with L. However, our last name is Lauder (pronounced as in Estee Lauder). I love names like Lorelai, Lana etc. but I feel like none of them go with our last name because they're both L's. Does anyone know any L first names that would go well with Lauder? Thanks!

Variety is the spice of life, as they say, so first middle and last names should begin with different letters and have a different amount of syllables.
Lana Lauder sounds like a cartoon character. If you love L in general you could use a name that contains the letter. I love names that have some letters in common, it adds a nice touch to the flow.

with Lenabelle its like 2 names put together so when u say it, it sounds like u said a second name before saying the last name and it helps with the sound so u don't have one L sound running into another, so u might wanna think of names like that and a very short middle name so that the full name doesn't seem to long.
there are few names and I don't know if this makes sense but when u say them its almost like they have a strong L sound so although they don't start with L, u get that L sound u want. LOL hope that makes sense. U can hear it in names like:

Reply:I have always thought the name Lucy was cute and it flows easy... Lucy Lauder. Lisa Lauder sounds nice also. You might also consider a name that doesn't start with an L, but a nickname of that name that does. For example choosing the name Delaney, and calling her Laney for short or Alexis and calling her Lexi.

I wouldn't use an L name at all.
Variety is the spice of life, as they say, so first middle and last names should begin with different letters and have a different amount of syllables.
Lana Lauder sounds like a cartoon character. If you love L in general you could use a name that contains the letter. I love names that have some letters in common, it adds a nice touch to the flow.

The answer isn't Paint, Pinto or Appaloosa as most of those only carry one gene for spotting, so only have a 50% chance of a spotted foal if bred to a solid horse.
The term you are looking for is "Homozygous". Each horse has two genes for specific things. Color genes are an example. If a horse has one gene for spots, and one for solid, then they will be spotted themselves but still can throw solid colored foals. But some horses have two spotted genes, then they will always raise a spotted baby no matter what they are bred to. Tobiano is a type of Paint/Pinto pattern that can be homozygous.
Black is a color that can be homozyous, too, so can the pattern roan. Cremello colored horses are an example of horses that are homozygous for the cream gene, so they will always have palomino or buckskin foals. So the term can be used for many things, not just the spotted pattern.
Reply:You didn't mention if your yearling is a paint or an appaloosa or a POA. If it is an appaloosa or a POA the homozygous color patterns are referred to as a fewspot, which is mainly a white horse with very "few spots" usually about 5 or so total, they can have coloring on their points, legs, mane and tail. They can also have a snowcap blanket, which is a blanketed horse with no spots in the blanket.

The stallions parent's DNA or blood need to be tested in order to certify him as Homozygous. Without this certification, the stallion owner can say the horse is homozygous but cannot prove it.
If one owns such a stallion, his stud fees are usually thought to be more valuable as the opinion is that color, being non standard, is more popular now than solid. Therefore, stallion owners started testing for this and those that are proven to consistently result in colored foals have a "leg up" on the other stallions.
I have two Paint mares from the same sire and dam. One is solid and one is painted. The stallion therefore cannot be homozygous because there is a chance his foals will result in solid colors.
It will be interesting to see what happens with this now with all the hubub and registration changes coming about in the AQHA and Paint Horse rules. In the very week that AQHA's news magazine came out describing the color "Rubicano" and how those horses are registered within their organization, my mothers highly typical Rubicano colored mare's registration papers were received stamped right across the front "undesirable" as relating to her color. This was 100% opposite what the magazine from the very registration organization was touting as having made an acceptable color.
I believe that color plays no part in any horse's abilities, behaviour or clarity of mind, while many others will tell you that paints are typically different (worse) mentally than quarter horses and they'll tell you that Appaloosa's are all as goofy as they have spots. These, I believe, are nothing more than a person's inability to interact well with a horse so they make general statements about the horse to discredit it rather than their ability to understand and successfully interact with it.

Technically, there is a chance you will get a homozygous foal when you breed two tobiano horses together, which means that your horse IS a tobiano. so when you breed your horse to another horse, your foal will get the tobiano coat gene no matter what!

What is the name for a horse that will always throw spotted colts no matter what you breed them too?
The answer isn't Paint, Pinto or Appaloosa as most of those only carry one gene for spotting, so only have a 50% chance of a spotted foal if bred to a solid horse.
The term you are looking for is "Homozygous". Each horse has two genes for specific things. Color genes are an example. If a horse has one gene for spots, and one for solid, then they will be spotted themselves but still can throw solid colored foals. But some horses have two spotted genes, then they will always raise a spotted baby no matter what they are bred to. Tobiano is a type of Paint/Pinto pattern that can be homozygous.
Black is a color that can be homozyous, too, so can the pattern roan. Cremello colored horses are an example of horses that are homozygous for the cream gene, so they will always have palomino or buckskin foals. So the term can be used for many things, not just the spotted pattern.
Reply:You didn't mention if your yearling is a paint or an appaloosa or a POA. If it is an appaloosa or a POA the homozygous color patterns are referred to as a fewspot, which is mainly a white horse with very "few spots" usually about 5 or so total, they can have coloring on their points, legs, mane and tail. They can also have a snowcap blanket, which is a blanketed horse with no spots in the blanket.

The stallions parent's DNA or blood need to be tested in order to certify him as Homozygous. Without this certification, the stallion owner can say the horse is homozygous but cannot prove it.
If one owns such a stallion, his stud fees are usually thought to be more valuable as the opinion is that color, being non standard, is more popular now than solid. Therefore, stallion owners started testing for this and those that are proven to consistently result in colored foals have a "leg up" on the other stallions.
I have two Paint mares from the same sire and dam. One is solid and one is painted. The stallion therefore cannot be homozygous because there is a chance his foals will result in solid colors.
It will be interesting to see what happens with this now with all the hubub and registration changes coming about in the AQHA and Paint Horse rules. In the very week that AQHA's news magazine came out describing the color "Rubicano" and how those horses are registered within their organization, my mothers highly typical Rubicano colored mare's registration papers were received stamped right across the front "undesirable" as relating to her color. This was 100% opposite what the magazine from the very registration organization was touting as having made an acceptable color.
I believe that color plays no part in any horse's abilities, behaviour or clarity of mind, while many others will tell you that paints are typically different (worse) mentally than quarter horses and they'll tell you that Appaloosa's are all as goofy as they have spots. These, I believe, are nothing more than a person's inability to interact well with a horse so they make general statements about the horse to discredit it rather than their ability to understand and successfully interact with it.

Home Depot has a tool called "Weed-Hound" that allows you to pull weeds like this without bending over. It works best on plants that form a rosette and lie flat on the ground. You can probably find it in the garden dept. of any of the "box" stores. I paid $20.00 at HD.

Technically, no. The purpose of a Jr/Sr or II, III, etc. is to denote the difference from one person (generation) to another when the names are 100% identical. Adding or changing ANYTHING to the name no longer makes it 100% identical. Therefore, your son would not legally be a II.

When I was in college, I read a short story about a little town where everything SEEMS to be perfect. No unemployment. No crime. Everyone SEEMS to be happy. However, the happiness comes at a cost. One child is kept in a dungeon like setting, beaten, basically tortured for their entire life. All of the other children in the town are kept ignorant of the misery of the imprisoned child until their eighteenth birthday, when they are brought to see the tortured child and given the choice of remaining in the community and helping to continue the misery of the child or leaving. I remember the title of the story was an anagram of either "anywhere" or "nowhere", but it is NOT the story "Erehwon". I believe this story was in a Norton's Anthology of Literature books, but I can't remember which one. I believe the story was only about ten pages long. Any help you can give me will be appreciated!
