What baby girls names starting with L would go well with our last name?

I'm not pregnant yet, but still like thinking about baby names, and I've always loved girls names that start with L. However, our last name is Lauder (pronounced as in Estee Lauder). I love names like Lorelai, Lana etc. but I feel like none of them go with our last name because they're both L's. Does anyone know any L first names that would go well with Lauder? Thanks!

What baby girls names starting with L would go well with our last name?
I wouldn't use an L name at all.

Variety is the spice of life, as they say, so first middle and last names should begin with different letters and have a different amount of syllables.

Lana Lauder sounds like a cartoon character. If you love L in general you could use a name that contains the letter. I love names that have some letters in common, it adds a nice touch to the flow.

Annabel Lauder (though the Ls run together :/ )

Amelia Lauder

Dahlia Lauder

Elizabeth Lauder

Helena Lauder

Madeleine Lauder (this one sounds really beautiful)

Matilda Lauder (ditto)

Penelope Lauder

Reply:i realise this has been answered, but i've just read them over and quite a few are really really boring.

maybe Lalita.

Lalita Lauder sounds really quite nice, although i agree an l name is risky.

Lalita means 'she who plays'

Good luck. Report Abuse

Reply:I do agree with some of the others that u might need to pick a different letter. but if u truly love L names I'd hate for u to have to give that up. these may not flow all that well but how about:

Lenabelle Lauder

Larissa Lauder

Lexandra Lauder

Liana Lauder

Lilianna Lauder

with Lenabelle its like 2 names put together so when u say it, it sounds like u said a second name before saying the last name and it helps with the sound so u don't have one L sound running into another, so u might wanna think of names like that and a very short middle name so that the full name doesn't seem to long.

there are few names and I don't know if this makes sense but when u say them its almost like they have a strong L sound so although they don't start with L, u get that L sound u want. LOL hope that makes sense. U can hear it in names like:

Alissa Lauder

Elina Lauder

Galina Lauder

Olivia Lauder

I also think issa names sound great with your last name like:

Larissa

Alissa, Elissa

Yulissa

Clarissa

Karissa

I hope this helped, good luck!

Reply:I have always thought the name Lucy was cute and it flows easy... Lucy Lauder. Lisa Lauder sounds nice also. You might also consider a name that doesn't start with an L, but a nickname of that name that does. For example choosing the name Delaney, and calling her Laney for short or Alexis and calling her Lexi.

Other names that sound well:

Leeann

Leona

Lesley

Liana

Lindsay

Good luck, happy name hunting and congratulations.

Reply:Huh, L names are great but with your surname, they could be a tongue twister! I suppose if you gave her what some people call a double barrelled name, it would break up the L sounds and you'd get to use one of the names you love.

Lana-Cate Lauder

Larelai-Jade Lauder

Lena-Jane Lauder

something along those lines. I like the names Lynette and Lucinda.
Reply:I agree with whomover said to stay away from names starting with "LA". They just don't sound right :(

i think if you say it over and over, eventually it will grow on you and you are probably the only person who thinks it sounds funny. i would just pick an L name you like and go with it!
Reply:Lauren, Laura, Lulu, Lana, i also like, Grace, Rachel, Jenny, Kristy, or Christy, Kathrine, Katie, Hope, Elly, and Olivia
Reply:Yes, I think you need to pick another letter. My bf's last name is Elliott and two of the names we really liked, but couldn't use were Ella for a girl and Ethan for a boy.
